Hello,
I’m running into a “Failed to import Media” error when trying to import the demo data. Pages, posts, menus, etc all import fine except for the images, they all have the “Failed to import Media” warning.
This is when attempting to import the large (~2Meg) xml file.
I have also tried importing using Theme Options | Demo Importer | Begin Import All Demo Contents to My Site Now. This doesn’t generate the error but also the message “Data is being imported please be patient, while the awesomeness is being created :)” never changes. It does seem to import, I can delete the menus and try this and the menus are back within a few minutes.
I’ve tried this on a couple of different fresh wordpress installs.
I’ve also opened the xml file and tried to load a link in the <wp:attachment_url> directly in a browser and receive a 500 Internal Server Error.
I’ve also tried changing the theme to 2017 and then tried importing the xml file, same result.
Wordpress is at the latest version (4.7.3) and all the Cosmos plugins are installed (no additional plugins are installed).
Thanks

Hello there, demo data XML file contains all of the demo content from the theme demo. So ıf you don’t want to get Failed messages you should install all required plugins first and than you should import demo data.
If you are getting “Failed to import Media” you have previously imported some of them or some images not found our server anymore.
These message is not important for the demo content. In any case you need to edit demo content media files as your own.

Hi,
“So ıf you don’t want to get Failed messages you should install all required plugins first and than you should import demo data.”That was already done.
Wordpress is at the latest version (4.7.3) and all the Cosmos plugins are installed. (When I said no additional plugins are installed I meant I only have the plugins that came with Cosmos installed.)“If you are getting “Failed to import Media” you have previously imported some of them or some images not found our server anymore.”
The media directory is empty prior to attempting an import of the demo data. (I suspect the problem is all of the images are no longer on your server).
“These message is not important for the demo content. In any case you need to edit demo content media files as your own.”
I’m sorry, I’m not sure I understand this last statement. I know the images in the demo content will need to be replaced prior to going live, but having them in the demo makes a nice guide to customizing the site. Is it no longer possible to recreate a site like in your demos: https://themeofwp.com/theme/?product=cosmos
Thanks

Just import XML content file bundled with theme under the Tools > Import section. You’ll be get all contents linke our demo.
Thanks
